Can I just say...

Alright, so for the past few years now my sister, mom, and I have gone to the movies on Christmas day. More than I ever thought I would, I have really come to enjoy this new tradition (I think it's fair to use the "tradition" word at this point). By the time Christmas day is winding down I am ready to get out and do something.


This year we went and watched the movie It's Complicated with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and John Krasinski (ahem!). A movie about a divorced couple and all things that cause their little situation to become...well...complicated.


In this movie Meryl Streep's character, Jane, owned her own bakery and lived in the most gorgeous house in California. And can I just say: this movie completely captured this idea I have in my head of the coffeeshop/bakery/fair-trade store/flower shop that I would love to open at one point in my life. Jane's shop was a bakery/catering shop, but I was absolutely blown away at the way it was decorated: it was so warm and inviting. Check it out:

See what I mean? I loved it. Absolutely loved it. I love the chalkboard menu, the colors of the food, the lighting. Well done.

Holy moly, people. This is exactly how I'd love to decorate one day. I love the neutral colors with the colorful produce and the arched hallways throughout the house. I really did leave the movie inspired from actually getting to see an idea in my head in real-life forms.

And now that I have my Macbook...well, the creativity streams are endless...
